The Red House Museum and Gardens was first built as the town's workhouse back in 1764, today the Red House Museum has a collection of displays from the Victorian era, there is also a display of Arthur Romney Green furniture and objects of geology and archaeology from the surrounding local area. The Red House Museum has a coffee shop, gift shop and a herb garden and hosts a wide range of activities for both adults & children.

Open: Tues to Sat 10am - 5pm. Sun 2pm - 5pm, last admission 4.30pm, admission to the Red House Museum is free.
